Ont été identifiées une quinzaine de famille ou classes de nano-objets. Des méthodes existent pour les manipuler et les contrôler. Les nouvelles classes de nano-objets synthétisées en laboratoire vont enrichir cette table au cours du temps. Le tableau ci dessous en donne une photographie actuelle. A partir de chacune des rubrique de ce tableau, vous pouvez accéder à une présentation des laboratoires et équipes Rhône-Alpines qui développent de nouveaux nano-objets et/ou de nouvelles techniques pour les assembler, les manipuler et les contrôler.
