TAILOR : “TAILored surfaces in Operando conditions : structure and Reactivity"

March 19-21, 2012, Autrans, France

A one-day symposium entitled "Réactivité des surfaces et synchrotron" was co-organized in January 2011 by the Institut Néel and the Laboratoire d’Electrochimie et de Physicochimie des Matériaux et des Interfaces (LEPMI) in Grenoble. The large number of participants (95), as well as the high richness of the presentations, evidenced the great interest of the French scientific community for this rapidly growing topic, calling for a larger event in order to promote links between research teams. The workshop "Tailored surfaces in operando conditions : structure and reactivity" aims to answer this demand by providing an overview of the recent experimental and theoretical advances in the operando investigation of solid/liquid and solid/gas interfaces. This 3-day event will take place in March 2012 in Grenoble’s neighbourhood (Vercors plateau) and will be open to young and experienced scientists from academic and R&D laboratories. The number of participants will be limited to about one hundred people.
