Objectifs des Centres de Compétences C’Nano

Structurer la recherche régionale

Servir d’interlocuteur aux programmes européens (NanoSci-Era) et de concertation pour les appels d’offres nationaux.
Mettre place et faciliter l’accès aux plateformes collectives de fabrication pour toute la communauté Rhône-alpine.
Définir les priorités et coordonner les actions des différents acteurs régionaux.

Favoriser une communication scientifique entre

Les laboratoires, et les communautés de recherche, quelques soient les disciplines. Nous organisons des ateliers thématiques et des rencontres régionales, dont les plus emblématiques sont à l’heure actuelle les journées nanosciences et nanotechnologies en Rhône-Alpes qui attirent plus de deux cent participants chaque année.
Les chercheurs et les jeunes au travers de formations et de conférences dans des établissements secondaires ou supérieurs.
Les chercheurs et le grand public par l’intermédiaire d’expositions, des médias ou de conférences-débats publiques.

EWEG2013 — The first European workshop on epitaxial graphene, 7 janvier 2013

The first European workshop on epitaxial graphene (EWEG’2013) will be held in the French Alps (in a skiing resort, Aussois) from 27th to 31st of January 2013.

The aim of this workshop is to intensify the discussion on the topic of graphene on metals, to explore new links between the different subfields involved and to pinpoint unsolved and controversial issues. The workshop will bring together leading experts and young researchers involved in surface science studies of the structural and physical properties, in the production of graphene from metallic supports (including device fabrication), and in theoretical investigations. The workshop will provide ample time for discussion.

French-Japan Workshop on Nanophotonics, 7 avril 2010: A l’occasion de la visite en France d’une délégation d’une dizaine de collègues de différentes institutions du Japon, tous intéressés à des thématiques de nanophotonique, et conduite par le Prof. M. Ohtsu, qui dirige notamment le Nanophotonics Research Center (NPC)[Institute of Engineering Innovation, School of Engineering de l’Université de Tokyo, nous organisons un mini-colloque "France-Japan Workshop on Nanophotonics".

2010 summer School “Nanosciences Ile de France”, 2 avril 2010: The 2010 summer School "Nanosciences Ile de France" is the fourth issue of a series of yearly events. It emanates from the Center of Nanoscience in Ile-de-France (C’Nano IdF, http://www.cnanoidf.org ), whose aim is to promote, coordinate, and bundle interdisciplinary research in the field of nanoscience for more than 100 laboratories in the Paris area. The main objective of this school is interdisciplinary teaching in the fields of sciences exploring the nanoworld, from biology to quantum physics. It also focuses on the social impacts of those researches.

Second Transalpine Conference on Nanoscience and Nanotechnologies, 29 mars 2010

TransAlp’Nano 2010 is the 2nd Conference on Nanoscience and Nanotechnology after the first successful edition held in Lyon (2008).

It will take place in Como (Italy) from 3rd to 5th June, 2010.

The Conference maintains its principal aim of being a unique occasion for scientific and technical exchanges between the transalpine regions of France, Italy and Switzerland where many academic and industrial centres operate at the frontiers of research and application of Nanotechnology.

The Conference will be preceded by the School : "Quantum wires, boxes and molecules" held in Varese (Italy) from 30th May to 2nd June 2010.

29ièmes Journées Nationales d’Optique Guidée, 29 mars 2010

Les 29ièmes Journées Nationales d’Optique Guidée se dérouleront cette année 2010 du mercredi 20 au vendredi 22 octobre à la Chambre de Commerce et d’Industrie de Besançon.

Les JNOG rassemblent annuellement, depuis 1980, la communauté internationale francophone scientifique et industrielle des télécommunications, de l’optique intégrée, des lasers, des capteurs et de l’instrumentation optique et des nanotechnologies, dans le but de créer des connaissances scientifiques et techniques entre chercheurs, professeurs, doctorants et industriels.

Le Si Dang, 2010 Laureate of the "Gentner-Kastler" prize, 11 mars 2010: Le Si Dang, of the NPSC group at the Institute Neel is the 2010 laureate of the Gentner-Kastler prize for his contributions to the study of polaritons in low-dimensionnal semiconductors and highlighting of their Bose-Einstein. This quantum state inside a solid is of considerable importance in physics. These studies are exceptional contributions to fundamental research and to semiconductor physics.
