Objectifs des Centres de Compétences C’Nano

Structurer la recherche régionale

Servir d’interlocuteur aux programmes européens (NanoSci-Era) et de concertation pour les appels d’offres nationaux.
Mettre place et faciliter l’accès aux plateformes collectives de fabrication pour toute la communauté Rhône-alpine.
Définir les priorités et coordonner les actions des différents acteurs régionaux.

Favoriser une communication scientifique entre

Les laboratoires, et les communautés de recherche, quelques soient les disciplines. Nous organisons des ateliers thématiques et des rencontres régionales, dont les plus emblématiques sont à l’heure actuelle les journées nanosciences et nanotechnologies en Rhône-Alpes qui attirent plus de deux cent participants chaque année.
Les chercheurs et les jeunes au travers de formations et de conférences dans des établissements secondaires ou supérieurs.
Les chercheurs et le grand public par l’intermédiaire d’expositions, des médias ou de conférences-débats publiques.

EWEG2013 — The first European workshop on epitaxial graphene, 7 janvier 2013

The first European workshop on epitaxial graphene (EWEG’2013) will be held in the French Alps (in a skiing resort, Aussois) from 27th to 31st of January 2013.

The aim of this workshop is to intensify the discussion on the topic of graphene on metals, to explore new links between the different subfields involved and to pinpoint unsolved and controversial issues. The workshop will bring together leading experts and young researchers involved in surface science studies of the structural and physical properties, in the production of graphene from metallic supports (including device fabrication), and in theoretical investigations. The workshop will provide ample time for discussion.

International Workshop and School on Magnetic and Semiconducting Nanomaterials, 12 octobre 2010: The IWMASENA workshop and school on magnetic and semiconducting nanomaterials aims at providing a thorough insight into fundamentals and recent developments in magnetism and semiconductor research. This event is jointly organized by the Hanoi University of Science (Vietnam) and the Institut Néel in Grenoble (France) in cooperation with the University of Engineering and Technology (Vietnam), in the framework of the long-term collaboration existing between them.

Nanomagnetism and spintronics, 12 octobre 2010: The increasing importance of nanosciences and nanotechnologies in physics enables us to meet the challenges of fast-growing modern technologies. Spintronic, at the boundary between magnetism and electronics, aims to exploit the electron spin as a new degree of freedom to address some of the most difficult scientific problems set by these new technologies. Several new applications can be foreseen, notably in the field of information technologies. However, these developments require some fundamental breakthroughs regarding the understanding and mastering of magnetism at the nanoscale, as well as its interplay with spin currents. The Nanomagnetism and spintronics colloquium will offer a two-days overview of current research in Rhône-Alpes and in France, in Quebec and Canada, along with a broader outline of cutting-edge research on-going in other European research centers.

Appel à projets : plateformes bottom-up, 15 juin 2010

Suite à la réunion du bureau C’Nano de l’automne 2009, il a été décidé de mettre l’accent sur les techniques de fabrication par voie ascendante. Ces techniques, actuellement en plein essor, sont portées par des équipes de recherche et utilisent des savoirs faire spécifiques.

La plate-forme technologique NANOLYON (http://www.nanolyon.fr), identifiée nationalement comme plate-forme de proximité depuis 2002, rassemble des équipements de technologie performants, flexibles et facilement accessibles. La plateforme permet de développer les nanotechnologies en combinant les savoir faire des communautés Ingénierie et les forces existantes en Chimie, Biologie, Médecine, Matériaux, Physique. The 5th workshop of the French-Korean LIA (Laboratoire International Associé) on Photonics and Nanostructures with be organized by Institut Néel (CNRS, Grenoble) and Institut des Nanotechnologies de Lyon, at the Hôtel Pic de la Belle Etoile (Allevard les bains, France), June 24-25, 2010.
